Privacy Policy

Oasis & Mind ("the app", "we", "us") is a mental-wellbeing and gardening game. Your feelings are personal, so we designed the app to collect as little as possible and to never sell or advertise against your data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Sign in with Apple, we receive a unique account identifier and, if you allow it, your name and email address. Apple may provide a private relay email instead of your real address — that's fine and fully supported.
Content you create
To save your progress, we store the things you make in the app: your garden and plants, mood and emotion check-ins, private journal entries, focus sessions, and in-app collection progress. This content is linked to your account so it syncs to your device.
Purchases
If you subscribe to Oasis Plus, our payments partner (RevenueCat) records your subscription status and the associated store transaction identifiers so we can unlock your benefits and restore them later. We never see or store your card or payment details — payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google.
Minimal app activity
We record a small number of anonymous, aggregate signals (for example, timing of onboarding milestones) to understand whether new players find their footing. These signals are never tied to the contents of your journal or your specific emotions.
Diagnostics
If something crashes or errors, basic technical logs may be generated to help us fix it.
2. What we do NOT collect
- No advertising identifiers, ad networks, or cross-app tracking.
- No Apple HealthKit or Google Fit data — all self-care activity in the app is self-reported.
- No precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access for tracking.
- No third-party analytics SDKs.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the app: save and sync your garden, journal, and progress across your devices.
- To manage your Oasis Plus subscription and restore purchases.
- To keep the app safe and working, and to fix problems.
- To understand, in aggregate, how to make the early experience gentler.
We do not use your content to build advertising or marketing profiles.
4. How your information is shared
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers that make the app function, acting on our behalf as data processors:
- InstantDB — secure backend that stores and syncs your account and content.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription status and receipts.
- Apple — provides Sign in with Apple and, with Google, processes payments.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS. We treat your journal entries and emotion data as sensitive personal information and limit access accordingly.
6. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
7. Data retention
We keep your content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete the associated personal data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal or tax obligations.
8. Children
Oasis & Mind is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in regions where that is the minimum age), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
9. International users & GDPR
Your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country. For users in the EEA/UK, our legal bases are: performance of our agreement with you (to run the app), your consent (for sensitive journal and emotion data, and optional features), and our legitimate interests (to keep the app secure and improve it). You may withdraw consent or exercise your rights at any time by contacting us.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
